Campaign
Our 2010 Spiritual Life Campaign has been entitled “Dine-In & Dialogue.”This year we will introduce the campaign on August 25th, during our morning worship service, but the regular campaign activities will begin on September 12th and end on October 3rd.This year the campaign will feature a new approach to our discipleship learning as we:
·Join together on Sunday evenings for a carry-in meal and fellowship,
·Watch a brief 12 minute video:
Luggage-- Why is it sometimes so hard for us to forgive?
Kickball -- If God really cares about us, why don’t we have everything we want?
Shells --Are we so busy that we miss out on what we’re supposed to be doing?
Store -- Is anger the issue, or is the real problem what you get angry about?
·End with a time of group discussion on the video.
Each week will feature a different discussion leader from the church.The leaders are Carol Secttor, Wesley Williams, George Hill, and Joe Lewis.
To encourage the largest participation, the evening is being planned to last approximately 90 minutes. Here is what you may do to help ensure the success of the campaign: 1) Be sure to mark the evenings of September 12, September 19, September 26 and October 3rd on your calendar, 2) Encourage the members of our congregation to join in this special time, 3) Bring a guest each week, and 4) Begin a time of specific and fervent prayer that God will bring the touch of His blessing to the campaign.Helping to plan our campaign this year are Carol Secttor, George Hill, Bill Boxell, Joan Martin, Steve Frost, Joan Martin and Rodger Moore.
