The First Christian Church has been an integral part of the Marion community since 1876.  Since that time the church membership has found numerous ways to make a profound impact in the community and in the lives of those who search for God's will to guide them.

We believe that the only way to live rich, joyful lives is to realize that God must be the focus of all we are and do.  In everything we think, say and do, we strive to serve God's purposes and to bring glory to God.   

 To provide congregational guidance we have adopted the following mission statement:

We believe God's mission for the
First Christian Church is to be and
to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing and serving from our doorstep "to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8)

We are currently in the process of developing two additional congregational guidance statements:  a statement of Vision  (basic congregational actions) and a statement of Core Values (basic congregational beliefs).
