The First Christian Church has been an integral part of the Marion
community since 1876. Since that time the church membership has found
numerous ways to make a profound impact
in the community and in the lives of those who search for
God's will to guide them.

We believe that the only way to live rich, joyful lives is
to realize that God must be the focus of all we are and do.
In everything we think, say and do,
we strive to serve God's purposes and to bring glory to God.   

 To provide congregational guidance we have adopted
three statements to better identify congregational
life and activities.

Vision Statement

We believe that God is calling the First Christian Church to care for
the mental, physical, and spiritual welfare of our greater world
community by becoming more service-oriented and mission-minded.

We commit to fulfilling this calling by:

Increasing our outreach involvement in the local community as well as
globally through mission actions and support.  Caring for our church family and all who visit
First Christian Church. As we grow into a more diverse congregation,
we will continue to seek God’s help to strengthen
our attitude of Christian fellowship and our willingness to work together.

Looking to God for clarity and direction, we are united by our faith in Christ and our mission of service.
