Music Ministry Mission Statement
The Music Ministry of First Christian Church strives
for the advancement of God’s Kingdom
in all of its activities and functions.
Its goal is to share the Good News
about Jesus Christ while at the same
time offering people the opportunity
to grow closer to God.
The music ministry mission statement is the driving force
for all that is done within the music ministry
of First Christian Church and it will be
achieved through a variety of means which includes but is not limited to:
1.) Praise Team(s)
2.) Choirs – Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed
3.) Handbells
4.) Solos
5.) Small Group Ensembles
All of these grouping are meant to give every generation the opportunity
to serve within the music ministry as they feel called.
These various groupings will have various opportunities for involvement
in the worship services throughout the year.
The various music groups can also serve as
venues for outreach opportunities. The music group’s involvement
within the worship service can serve as a catalyst to
get someone to come to church and bring
them to God because music, at its core, seeks to honor and serve Christ.
For some people, music is the way they interact with
God on a daily basis. Whatever forms or styles that may be.
Finally, the First Christian Church Music Ministry wants
people to grow in their music abilities and knowledge of music.
By providing these opportunities it allows that person to
see something in them that God may want to make known.
